Some quick facts for those who cant be bothered; The rules state that engines have minimum crank and COG heights. No mention of exotic materials in this article but fully expect previous rules on that to be carried over. Also the engine must fit into a certain specified 'shape'.All of these rules are to contain costs of course.

THERE IS NO LIMIT OF TURBO BOOST! :-D :-D But dont get too excited because there is a fuel flow limit which tops out at 10000rpm.Max engines revs are 15k which means power will taper off as revs rise past 10k rpm (due to friction). So basically engines will make maximum power at 10K but will have some handy over rev ability.Due to the fact that the turbo is directly connected to an electic motor/generator means that there will be almost no lag. They can also make it so power comes in at extremely low revs. Not that they're likely to need that much.

One very interesting fact about this engine formula-as far as i know there are no restrictions on development(?).There may be a cap in future but for now expect engine builders to be constantly improving them!!

Anybody have any thoughts to add?I'm sure i've missed something!

Not paying to read the article, did they list the maximum fuel volume flow or just generalize and say it reaches max flow at 10k rpm? That still doesn't sound right for some reason, I imagine the engines would be developed to work within a certain max fuel flow over the full rpm range.
